By 2021, electric vehicles had claimed 9.8% of the French auto market, with hybrids surging to 25%. Yet, despite the presence of 43,700 charging stations, the shortage of public chargers remains a major bottleneck. Meanwhile, an untapped goldmine of nearly 500,000 private charging stations is waiting to be used, according to Enedis.
The mission of this project? Unlock this hidden potential and reshape the accessibility of charging points across France.
Partnering with Xavier, our lead UI designer, I helped craft an intuitive, user-friendly journey with advanced features tailored for charging station owners.
The app is designed for all electric vehicle users and is part of Volkswagen Group, covering all its brands.
We created a custom style guide, approved by our former creative director. It clearly differentiates user paths: electric green for booking and bright orange for the owner’s section.
